SIRIUS STAR IN THE LATE SUMMER SKY

SIRIUS STAR IN THE LATE SUMMER SKY

The Sirius Star is a well known star with much history and mythology surrounding it. Now is the time to take a look at this special star which can be viewed at dawn during the later part of the month of August.

From today onwards you should be able to view the Sirius Star in the pre-dawn, dawn sky.

The easiest way to find the
Sirius Star is to look for Orion's belt (see image above courtesy of  wikipedia) and draw a straight line downwards, slightly to the left from his belt. The brightest star you find will be the Sirius Star - Make a wish!
